Lynne Bush develops and implements IGCC print and electronic publications strategies, programs, and projects. She is the editor of the IGCC newsletters, IGCC Policy Papers, IGCC Policy Briefs, and IGCC books, for which she solicits and develops manuscripts from international faculty, researchers and project participants, and directs production and distribution. She is also the primary writer and content manager for the IGCC web site. Prior to coming to IGCC in 2002, Bush was managing editor of the political science journal International Organization. She received her M.F.A. in creative writing from San Diego State University in 2006.

Sarah Koczot is a graduate student at UC San Diego's School of International Relations and Pacific Studies. She recently graduated from the University of Virginia where she studied international relations and chemistry.
LEVY, Katherine Project Manager858/822-4959
Katherine Levy is project manager for the Development and Conflict Research (DACOR) program, which includes one of two Minerva projects housed at IGCC. She works with researchers and IGCC staff to facilitate the activities of the DACOR team. Prior to coming to IGCC she was the administrative operations director in the Development Office of the Brookings Institution. Prior to Brookings, she worked in the policy departments of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Association of University Women. Levy holds an M.A. in Public Policy from George Washington University.
LINTZ, Angela Grants Development Analyst858/822-2324
Angela Lintz works to promote multi-disciplinary research and policy collaboration across the University of California system in areas of international security, environment, and health. As the foundations relations lead for IGCC, Lintz works closely with the director, research directors, and other UC faculty in the development and submission of grant proposals, as well as grant reporting. In addition to liaising with foundations, she collaborates with other groups both on and off the UC San Diego campus, including IR/PS, Contracts and Grants, Foundation Relations, Human Subjects, Corporate, Alumni Relations, corporate social responsibility representatives, and community members. Lintz earned her Ph.D. in sociology from UC San Diego, doing research in education and social inequality. Lintz has worked extensively in education opportunity programs, both as a program leader and grant developer.
LU, Hanlu Research Analyst858/822-7637
Hanlu Lu is Research Analyst for Study of Innovation and Technology in China. She is responsible for conducting research on issues related to the contemporary Chinese science and technology policy, with special emphasis on national security, trade and political economy. Ms. Lu also manages SITC’s Chinese-language resources and databases and provides work direction to SITC's graduate student researcher team. She holds a Master's degree of Pacific and International Affairs (MPIA) from UC San Diego.

Laura Martin is Program Manager for the Public Policy and Nuclear Threats program, as well as IGCC's Dissertation Fellowship competition. Martin was IGCC's conference coordinator previously. Prior to joining IGCC, Martin was the coordinator for training programs and conferences for UAW-GM, UAW-DaimlerChrysler, UAW-Ford, and E! Entertainment. She holds a M.A. in English from Oakland University.

Joseph R. McGhee is a former foreign service officer with more than twenty years of experience in international affairs. As IGCC's Washington representative, McGhee works to increase IGCC's profile within the policy community and serves as IGCC's liaison in Washington, D.C. He designs, implements, and manages IGCC outreach activities, programs, and fund-raising initiatives in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Congress, government agencies, nongovernmental and other organizations, academic institutions, and other foreign policy-related organizations.

Helen Olow joined the IGCC team in July 2002. She is currently the institute's chief financial and administrative officer, responsible for all the business operations of the unit including long and short-term planning and overall management. Olow works closely with the IGCC director in developing, planning, and coordinating programs, and linking research and teaching agendas on all nine campuses and the two UC-managed laboratories to the institute's mission. Olow has been on the staff at UC San Diego since 1986. Prior to coming to IGCC, she worked as the financial officer for four divisions and one science center at Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

SEROCHI, Heidi Project Manager858/534/8602
Heidi Serochi is Project Manager for the IGCC Project on the Study of Innovation and Technology in China (SITC), one of IGCC's two Minerva projects. Additionally, she provides support for the Future of Multilateral Security Cooperation in Northeast Asia: Exploring Regional Security Architecture and the Economics-Security Nexus and IGCC’s Defense Transparency Project. She has also held positions at MIT’s Center for International Studies and the Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. Serochi holds an M.A. in International Relations from the University of San Diego.
THAI, Johnny Fiscal Specialist858/534-7252
Johnny Thai joined IGCC in March of 2011 as the Fiscal Specialist (Fund Manager). His responsibilities include post-award administration and liaison to the campus for human resources and payroll issues. He also assists with pre-award administration as a backup. His fiscal duties consist of post-auditing of expenditures, reconciling ledgers, analyzing financial data, providing financial statements, and fiscal closing procedures. Previously, he worked for the County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency as an accountant. He currently a CPA candidate.

Marie Thiveos joined the IGCC team in February 2012 as Conference and Fiscal Assistant. Her responsibilities include assisting with the planning and coordination of events, logistical administration, reconciliations procedures and staffing of conferences. Prior to joining IGCC, Marie worked with the City’s ambulance provider as a Public Relations Assistant. She graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor’s in International Studies, Political Science in 2009
