Shared Governance in the UC Tradition
The IGCC Steering Committee is a multidisciplinary group comprising faculty representatives from all ten UC campuses and the Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National Laboratories, which have historic ties to the University of California. The chair is a non-voting member from one of the campuses. This group advises the IGCC director and research directors, serves as a campus liaison, and awards IGCC fellowships and grants to students and faculty. .
Steering Committee members typiclaly serve for three years and are appointed by their individual campuses. Most maintain a lasting involvement with IGCC throughout their career.
